London: The National Competitiveness Center and London Business School have signed a cooperation agreement to develop academic content and case studies based on Saudi Arabia's economic and developmental reforms and initiatives. These materials will be integrated into the school's executive education curriculum, reinforcing the Kingdom's position as a global model for transformational economic policy in academic circles.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the signing ceremony in London was attended by Minister of Commerce and National Competitiveness Center Chairman Majid Al-Kassabi and the dean of London Business School, Professor Sergei Guriev. Additionally, Al-Kassabi met with University College London (UCL) President Dr. Michael Spence to explore opportunities for establishing joint programs and executive courses tailored for Saudi leadership iAn areas such as innovation and entrepreneurship.
Discussions between Al-Kassabi and Dr. Spence included the launch of capacity-building programs, the participation of Saudi experts in executive education in the United Kingdom (UK), and the expansion of knowledge exchange initiatives and research partnerships. These discussions are part of broader efforts to strengthen educational ties and knowledge-sharing between Saudi Arabia and the UK.
The meetings were part of a Saudi delegation visit led by Al-Kassabi, who is the chairman of the Economic and Social Committee of the Saudi-British Strategic Partnership Council. The delegation comprised officials from nine government entities and 35 business leaders from major national companies. The visit aims to follow up on the progress of council-led initiatives, strengthen ties across priority economic sectors, and deepen the partnership between the two countries.
