Riyadh: On World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, President of the National Society for Human Rights Khalid Al-Fakhri emphasized that human trafficking is one of the most serious crimes affecting human rights and fundamental freedoms, requiring integrated legal, institutional, and societal efforts to combat it effectively.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Fakhri noted that Saudi Arabia's continuous development of anti-trafficking legislation reflects an approach combining law enforcement, rights protection, and fulfillment of international obligations.
He affirmed that combating human trafficking is a shared national responsibility requiring complementary roles among competent authorities, national institutions, and civil society organizations to uphold human rights and the rule of law.
