Riyadh: An analytical study conducted by Al-Mawaddah Society for Family Development has documented 127 government support pathways, tools, and benefits for Saudi families across nine core sectors, highlighting the family's central role in the national development agenda under Saudi Vision 2030.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the study discusses the government support system for Saudi families since the launch of Saudi Vision 2030, covering policy transformations between 2016 and 2025, with regulatory updates tracked through August 2026. The findings illustrate a strategic shift from merely fulfilling basic living needs toward economic empowerment, productivity, homeownership, and financial independence.
Al-Mawaddah Society CEO Mohammed Al-Radhi stated that the initiative aims to institutionalize awareness of state support so that families can readily identify appropriate pathways and eligibility criteria. He underscored that the system invests deeply in education, healthcare, and housing stability to foster long-term security and future opportunities.
The report revealed that education, social protection, and housing collectively represent 50.4% of all mapped mechanisms. These comprise 26 pathways dedicated to education, training, and scholarships; 20 for income, social protection, and welfare care; and 18 for housing, land grants, and real estate tax relief.
Reflecting an increasing emphasis on financial self-reliance, the study identified 28 pathways-accounting for roughly 22% of the total-focused on employment enablement, self-employment, development financing, and structured savings incentives to diversify household income.
The system also encompasses direct household assistance-such as food, utility, and educational subsidies; childcare and transit support for working mothers; and specialized welfare services tailored for orphans, foster families, the elderly, separated households, and prisoners' families.
