NCVC Signs MoU with King Salman Energy Park to Boost Greening Efforts

Riyadh: The National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with King Salman Energy Park (SPARK) to strengthen cooperation in two ecological and wildlife parks and support greening initiatives across various shared sites.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the two parties will collaborate on several projects, including the greening of the Gunan Oasis Wildlife Park and the SPARK Environmental Park, as well as other designated areas. The cooperation will also include conducting necessary studies, enhancing sites with suitable vegetation cover, and identifying native tree and plant species appropriate to the characteristics of each location.

The signing of this agreement is part of NCVC's efforts to foster strategic partnerships with government entities, private sector organizations, and non-profit institutions. NCVC focuses on supporting national initiatives aimed at rehabilitating degraded lands, expanding green spaces, combating desertification, curbing sand encroachment, and preserving natural resources in alignment with the Saudi Green Initiative and the vision for a greener, more vibrant environment.
