NCW Implements Specialized Training Program on Wildlife Relocation and Release in Reserves

Riyadh: The National Center for Wildlife (NCW) has implemented a specialized training program to qualify rangers in national and royal reserves in procedures for relocating wildlife from breeding centers and preparing it for release into reserves, as part of its efforts to enhance field efficiency and strengthen the professional standards of wildlife reintroduction programs. According to Saudi Press Agency, the center explained that the program is based on a practical methodology aimed at standardizing procedures for the relocation and release of wildlife, raising rangers' preparedness, ensuring the safety and well-being of animals, and verifying the suitability of release sites from both environmental and administrative perspectives. This approach contributes to improving the efficiency of field implementation. NCW emphasized that this training program reflects its commitment to building specialized national capacities in wildlife management, supporting reintroduction initiatives, and promoting biodiversit y conservation, thereby enhancing reserve management efficiency and advancing the Kingdom's environmental sustainability goals.
