New Murabba Highlights Riyadh’s New Downtown Vision at MIPIM 2026

Cannes: New Murabba, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, has concluded its participation in MIPIM 2026 in Cannes, France, marking its third consecutive year at the global real estate event as part of the Saudi delegation at the Invest Saudi pavilion.

According to Saudi Press Agency, MIPIM, held from March 9 to 13 at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, is recognized as a leading international platform for real estate and urban development. The event brought together over 20,000 delegates and representatives from 90 countries, as well as over 300 pavilions.

During its participation, New Murabba showcased Riyadh's future-ready downtown vision and the scale and innovation of the New Murabba destination. Located in north-west Riyadh, the destination spans over 14 million square meters, positioning it among the world's largest purpose-built mixed-use destinations.

New Murabba also highlighted masterplan features designed to support wellbeing and sustainable urban living, including 25% dedicated green space, a '15-minute downtown' approach, and a multi-modal mobility network integrating metro access, inner and outer loops, pedestrian corridors, and feeder services. The destination will include over 90,000 residential units for over 280,000 residents and is expected to welcome millions of visitors each year.

A key focus of engagement was The Mukaab, the destination's iconic landmark, inspired by Salmani architecture and reinterpreted through Najdi architectural elements and a distinctive golden fa§ade. With a scale of 400m x 400m x 400m, The Mukaab is envisioned as a dynamic ecosystem that brings people together to live, work, and play, supported by advanced technologies, including AI, robotics, and holographic projection systems, to deliver immersive experiences.

New Murabba's presence at MIPIM 2026 reinforces its commitment to global engagement and partnership-building, while showcasing a new model for a world-class downtown experience in Riyadh.
