Makkah:Several newly developed lanes have been opened along the Third Ring Road and Prince Saud Al Faisal Road, designed to significantly reduce travel times by more than 90%.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites announced the expansion, which includes a 1.5-kilometer stretch on the Third Ring Road. This extension connects the Prince Mutib intersection to the Grand Mosque intersection via the Prince Sultan intersection.
Additionally, traffic has commenced on the final section of Prince Saud Al Faisal Road. This section links the Prince Mohammed bin Salman axis to Abdulqadir Koshak Street through the Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz intersection.
The infrastructure projects aim to alleviate traffic congestion, enhance road safety, and facilitate access for residents, visitors, and pilgrims, particularly during the Hajj and Umrah seasons.
