Mecca: The Ministry of Interior has strictly reinforced that residents found violating Hajj permit requirements will face a SAR20,000 fine, immediate deportation, and a 10-year ban from re-entering the Kingdom. Emphasizing that securing a valid permit is a fundamental requirement for performing the pilgrimage, the ministry urged all individuals to adhere to the regulations governing the 1447 AH Hajj season to preserve the safety and security of the pilgrims. To help ensure compliance, authorities have called on the public to actively report violations by dialing 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, or 999 across the rest of the Kingdom.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry's announcement comes as part of ongoing efforts to maintain order and ensure the safety of all pilgrims during the Hajj season. The authorities have reiterated the importance of adhering to the established guidelines and have warned of stringent penalties for those who attempt to circumvent the rules. The public's cooperation is deemed essential in upholding the sanctity and security of one of the most significant religious gatherings in the world.
