NWC Distributes and Treats Over 2.5 Billion m³ of Water, Adds 71,800 New Connections in 2026

Riyadh: The National Water Company (NWC) continued to improve its service efficiency across the Kingdom, distributing more than 1.535 billion cubic meters of water and treating over 966.95 million cubic meters of wastewater during 2026.

According to Saudi Press Agency, NWC stressed that these accomplishments are part of ongoing efforts to upgrade its operational system in the water and environmental services sectors and to keep pace with the comprehensive developments witnessed in the Kingdom in all fields.

The company reported conducting more than 1.26 million drinking water tests in 2026, based on 124,300 samples collected through smart sampling boxes that automatically record time and location and transmit data directly to the central monitoring system in the laboratories, which have specialized technicians working around the clock to preserve and inspect samples. NWC added that 22 of its laboratories have obtained the ISO 17025 International Standard from the Saudi Accreditation Center (SAAC).

The company also extended approximately 71,800 new household connections for water and wastewater services, including 50,700 water connections and 21,100 wastewater connections.

NWC emphasized its continued commitment to supporting water security, protecting the environment, enhancing operational efficiency, and expanding service coverage, reflecting the Saudi aspirations under Vision 2030.
