NWC Ready to Meet Madinah Visitors’ Daily Water Needs during Hajj

Madinah: The National Water Company (NWC) announced its readiness to serve visitors to the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah as part of its operational plan for the 1446 AH Hajj season, with a planned daily distribution of 615,000 cubic meters of water.

According to Saudi Press Agency, NWC stated in a press release that over 1,203 technical, engineering, and administrative staff will continue the operations to serve the pilgrims in this year's Hajj season, with a continuous pumping rate 24/7 for the Prophet's Mosque, the central area, and religious and historical sites.

The company emphasized that all water networks, reservoirs, and pilgrims' residences are subject to continuous laboratory testing to ensure the quality and safety of water by the work crews in the central laboratory and fully equipped mobile laboratories to test more than 1,077 samples per day.

The management and monitoring of flows in the water networks in the central area will be through an intelligent operating system and through the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) room, which allows the company's specialists to follow the service in real time and ensure its continuity with high quality.

NWC affirmed its commitment to providing sustainable, quality water services that meet the highest standards, achieve its performance indicators (KPIs), and contribute to seamlessly serving the guests and visitors of Madinah.
