Riyadh: The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the continued closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli occupation authorities and the prevention of worshippers from accessing it for the eighth consecutive day. It described the measure as a flagrant violation of the sanctity of holy sites and the right to freedom of worship, as well as a provocation to the feelings of Muslims worldwide.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the General Secretariat warned that the continuation of such systematic violations and assaults against the occupied city of Jerusalem and its holy sites would fuel a cycle of violence and tension and further destabilize the region.
