Jeddah: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the continued war crimes and acts of genocide committed by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip. The latest incidents include the targeting of a school run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in Al-Shati Camp and the indiscriminate shelling of Al-Nuseirat and Beit Lahia camps. These attacks resulted in hundreds of deaths and injuries, most of them among women and children, constituting a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and relevant United Nations resolutions. According to Saudi Press Agency, the OIC reiterated its call for the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to fulfill its responsibilities in halting the war crimes and massacres committed by the Israeli occupation. It also urged the facilitation of adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip, especially the northern region, which remains under a severe blockade. Furthermore, the organization emphasized the necessity of providing international protection for the Palestinian people.
