Over 90 Talented Individuals Begin a Research Journey in Generation of Research and Innovation Enrichment Program 2024

Riyadh: The Enrichment Generation Research and Innovation 2024 program was launched today at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). The program is organized by "KACST" through Academy 32, in collaboration with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba". More than 90 talented male and female students in the kingdom are participating in the program. In her opening speech, the CEO of Academy 32, Dr. Amani bint Mohammed Al-Shawi, emphasized the program's role in nurturing emerging talents and preparing them to compete in local, regional, and international competitions. She highlighted the students' achievements in the previous session, including nine places and special awards at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF, 2024) in the US, as well as 13 medals and special awards at the International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX 2024) in Malaysia. Moreover, the students attained 25 special and eight major aw ards in the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (IBDAA). The annual program, organized by KACST, aims to cultivate a culture of research, development, and innovation among gifted students. The objective is to transition towards a knowledge and innovation-based economy by introducing students to the significance of scientific research. The program aims to connect students with research centers, strengthen their relationships with researchers, scientists, and specialists, and enhance their skills through practical experience. Ultimately, the program prepares students to compete in local, regional, and international forums and competitions and provides them with valuable scientific and practical research opportunities.
