Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Saudi Arabia’s Right to Defend Territory, Security

Pakistan: Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad affirmed his country's full and steadfast support for Saudi Arabia's right to defend its territory and take all necessary measures to safeguard its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during his address to the UN Security Council, Ambassador Ahmad reiterated Islamabad's support for the Kingdom's sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity. He also affirmed Saudi Arabia's right to take necessary measures to defend its territory and protect its citizens from threats and attacks.

He warned of the risks posed by continued escalation, stressing that Houthi militia attacks threaten not only the Kingdom's security but also the security and stability of the wider region and the safety of international maritime shipping routes.
