Riyadh: The Palestine Committee of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) convened today via videoconference on the sidelines of the 39th AIPU Conference, which is being hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting brought together several key figures, including Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Muhanna, a Shura Council member and a member of the Executive Committee of the AIPU, as well as representatives from parliamentary delegations of AIPU member states.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the committee's agenda included the election of a chairperson and a rapporteur. Additionally, the committee prepared draft resolutions pertinent to its ongoing work. The discussions also focused on additional agenda items that target supporting the Palestinian cause and enhancing joint Arab parliamentary efforts. Participants aimed to strengthen collaboration and coordinate actions that align with the overarching goals of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union.
