Palestinian President Receives Phone Call from Pakistani Prime Minister

Islamabad-- The Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas received today a telephone call from the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.

During the call, Khan expressed condemnation of the fatal Israeli airstrikes on Gaza and attacks on innocent worshippers, at the Aqsa Mosque, resulting in numerous deaths among civilians, including children.

He also reaffirmed his country's firm support of the Palestinian people's rights and efforts exerted by Pakistan, at the international level against the Israeli aggression and flagrant violations and international law.

For his part, President Abbas welcomed the Pakistani support for the Palestinian cause, valuing the Pakistani leadership response and its statements condemning Israeli attacks, in Gaza as well as at Al-Aqsa mosque.
