Riyadh: The Riyadh Creative District (RCD) announced the regional market entry of Playhera, one of the Saudi companies based in the district, with the launch of the regional edition of its game Prime Rush.
According to Saudi Press Agency, RCD serves as an initiative of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, providing an integrated ecosystem designed to foster the growth of the creative economy. This platform enables companies in the sector to expand their businesses, drive innovation and product development, and strengthen their regional presence, thereby reinforcing Riyadh's position as a regional hub for creative industries.
Playhera's journey, from establishing itself in the Creative District to developing and releasing Prime Rush, demonstrates that support in practice. Saudi talent played an active role in designing the game environment and its characters, drawing on regional culture. This further underlines Riyadh's appeal to talent and investment in the creative sector, contributing to the city's goals of building a sustainable, knowledge-based economy and enhancing its regional and global competitiveness.
The Riyadh Creative District currently boasts 28 companies and entities spanning media, culture, technology, and content creation, offering an integrated environment and value chain to support the growth of the creative ecosystem.
