The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani, confirmed that the priority of the government program is to raise the capabilities of the army to the highest levels.
Al-Sudani said in a speech during his attendance at the (Ababil / 1) exercise of the Iraqi Air Force at Balad Air Base: "The (Ababil/1) exercise embodies the process of readiness of pilots and technicians to protect the skies of Iraq," adding that "the Air Force's preparations represent a message of confirmation that we are ready."
He added: "The high performance of our combat aircraft was the result of the fighters' training and perseverance."
