President of Saudi Post Hosts Syrian Post Director General in Riyadh

Riyadh: President of Saudi Post (SPL) Eng. Anef bin Ahmed Abanomi received Director General of the Syrian Post Imad Al-Din Hamad and his accompanying delegation in Riyadh today.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Syrian delegation was briefed on SPL's experience in developing the postal and logistics sector in the Kingdom. The two sides also held a meeting to discuss several areas of mutual interest and opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the two organizations.

The delegation also attended an introductory presentation on the experience of Saudi Post and its institutional transformation journey. The presentation highlighted the development of SPL's logistics and geospatial capabilities, the integration of its infrastructure, the diversity of its services and solutions, and its role as the national operator in supporting the national ecosystem and enabling the growth of e-commerce.

The release added that the Syrian delegation also visited SPL's main processing center in Riyadh (RPC), where they were briefed on its operations and the advanced technologies used in sorting and processing, including automation and robotics. The delegation learned about the role of these technologies in enhancing the speed and efficiency of shipment processing while improving accuracy and reliability. They were also introduced to the integration of the center's operational and technological systems, reflecting the ongoing development of the Kingdom's postal and logistics infrastructure in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
