Princess Nourah University Receives Renewal of Its WHO Health-Promoting University Accreditation

Riyadh: Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University today received the World Health Organization's (WHO) certificate renewing its accreditation as a Health-Promoting University for the period from 2024 through 2027, after meeting all approved global standards and requirements.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the certificate renewal ceremony was held at the university campus in the presence of Acting President Dr. Fawzia Al-Amro. The event coincided with an official visit by the Ministry of Health's Healthy Cities Program team, led by Deputy Minister for Population Health Dr. Abdullah Asiri.

The renewal of accreditation by the WHO follows the university's fulfillment of 101 international WHO standards distributed across six tracks: general standards, campus environment, healthy lifestyles, health improvement, safety and emergency preparedness, in addition to tracks related to community engagement and sustainability.
