Princess Sarah bint Bandar Discusses Azerbaijan’s Accession to International Dates Council with Embassy Counsellor

Riyadh: Executive Director of the International Dates Council Princess Sarah bint Bandar bin Abdulaziz received yesterday in Riyadh Counsellor at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Aghajavid Ramazanov.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the meeting, the two sides reviewed the International Dates Council's work and objectives to support the global dates sector. They discussed the mechanism for the Republic of Azerbaijan's accession to the council.

They emphasized the importance of this partnership in supporting cooperation among member states and exchanging expertise in the dates sector. The council continues to expand its membership by welcoming more dates-producing and importing countries, supporting its mission to unify international efforts to develop this vital sector.

The Republic of Azerbaijan is considered a dates-importing market, relying on imports from several countries to meet domestic demand, highlighting the importance of discussing its accession to the council.
