Qassim Education Department Attains Global Achievement at Inventions Exhibition

Buraidah, The General Administration of Qassim Education accomplished a remarkable global achievement at the 49th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, April 17 to 21, by winning a gold medal, among more than 1,000 inventions participating from 40 countries around the world. Abdulaziz bin Raja Al-Harbi, a student from the first grade of secondary school at Prince Sultan Complex for the Gifted in Buraidah, won the gold medal in the field of environmental engineering for his invention of "cooling lithium batteries using phase change materials (PCMs) enhanced with nanomaterials." The acting director of Qassim Education Department, Khalid Al-Omran, stressed that the department takes great pride in its high-achieving students and their contributions both domestically and abroad, which have brought great honour to Saudi Arabia. The educational accomplishments of the Kingdom are competitive on a worldwide scale, Al-Omran said, expressing his gratitude to the minister of education for his interest in and support of students. "All of this has been achieved thanks to the boundless support from the wise leadership for the improvement of education, in line with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030," he added. He extended his congratulations to Al-Harbi, his family, and teachers for this remarkable accomplishment that aligns with the goals of the Ministry of Education and showcases the excellence of Qassim education.
