Qassim Governor Receives Qassim Chamber Report on Buraidah Participation in 16th Annual Conference of UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network

Governor of Qassim Region Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz praised the report presented by the Qassim Chamber of Commerce regarding the participation of the "Creative City of Buraidah" in the 16th Annual Conference of UNESCO's Creative Cities Network, held between July 1 and 5, in Braga, Portugal. Prince Faisal met today in his office with Secretary General of Al-Qassim Chamber Mohammad Al-Hanaya, and UNESCO's main liaison officer Suleiman Al-Qafari, who presented the prince with the final report prepared by the chamber about the conference. The chamber is responsible for activating Buraidah's file within UNESCO's Creative Cities Network, and is tasked with implementing and monitoring the necessary requirements. During the meeting, the prince lauded the efforts made by the chamber, which contributed to making Buraidah one of the most prominent and distinguished global city. Al-Hanaya stressed that the chamber has sought to fulfill the governor's directives to ensure that all of Bur aidah's contributions and participations align with the country's ambitions and vision. This is achieved through a dedicated team that ensured that Bursydah meets the requirements for being listied as a Creative City by UNESCO. It did so by participating in various events and programs, to achieve the main objectives, benefit from this achievement, and work with all relevant entities to enhance Buraydah's status as a creative city.
