Qassim Region Sees Surge in Sports Track Usage During Ramadan

Qassim region: Sports tracks across Qassim Region are witnessing a noticeable rise in activity during Ramadan, as athletes and recreational visitors increasingly exercise to maintain energy and physical well-being throughout the holy month.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this increase is most evident after Taraweeh prayer or shortly before Maghrib prayer, when residents adjust their routines to accommodate fasting while prioritizing fitness. Activities include walking, jogging, and organized workouts, reflecting growing awareness of health during Ramadan.

The Saudi Press Agency interviewed citizens and residents using sports tracks across the region. Participants reported benefits such as increased energy, reduced post-iftar fatigue, and improved overall health. In response to rising demand, municipal teams have intensified maintenance and beautification efforts. These include cleaning, tree planting, and maintaining facilities such as playgrounds, sports equipment, walkways, seating areas, and lighting systems.

These efforts aim to provide a well-equipped environment that supports physical activity, enhances quality of life, and offers accessible recreational spaces for residents and visitors in Qassim Region.
