Riyadh: Al-Khabra festival in Qassim Region has become one of the region's leading development and tourism initiatives, combining the preservation of cultural heritage with support for the local economy. It provides an integrated platform for marketing dates and other local products while supporting farmers, families working in the cottage industry, and entrepreneurs.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the latest edition opened on August 1 and will run for 45 days, featuring 160 commercial outlets that offer an organized marketplace for local products while creating new investment opportunities. The festival aims to strengthen the palm and date value chain by providing farmers with direct access to consumers and traders, showcasing the region's high-quality dates, and enhancing their competitiveness in local markets.
Festival General Supervisor Fahd Al-Rasheed said the event features date markets, agricultural product displays, heritage exhibits, traditional dishes, handicrafts, and cultural and entertainment programs for families, offering visitors a comprehensive experience that combines shopping, leisure, and the cultural heritage of Qassim Region.
