Quality of Life Program Drives Hobby Sector Growth in Saudi Arabia

The Quality of Life Program has made substantial strides in promoting hobby culture and encouraging active participation in diverse activities in Saudi Arabia. As outlined in the program's recently published annual report, it has achieved significant progress regarding its Vision 2030 goal of enhancing the quality of life. Key achievements include a surge in the number of hobby clubs, now numbering 1,145 across the Kingdom. The Hawi platform now features over 215 hobbies, catering to a wide range of interests. Furthermore, hobby clubs have organized 1,435 events, providing citizens and residents with ample opportunities to participate in stimulating activities. To foster the development of the hobby sector, the program has focused on three primary pillars: enriching and diversifying hobbies, encouraging society, education, and media to practice hobbies, and achieving coordination among enabling entities. As per the program, facilities and spaces to practice hobbies have been established, the Hawi appl ication was launched to support amateur clubs, and partnerships were concluded with organizations like Golato to provide sports facilities. Moreover, awareness campaigns were carried out, training courses were held, and collaborations with universities were reached to promote hobby culture and provide educational resources. The program has signed agreements with the public, private, and non-profit sectors to spur hobby development and has collaborated with sports federations to implement hobby experimentation programs. Through these endeavors, the Quality of Life Program aims to increase community participation in hobbies, boost the hobby sector's contribution to GDP, establish Saudi Arabia as a global leader in hobby club registration, and achieve a target of 6,000 hobby clubs by 2030. By creating a vibrant and inspiring society, the program seeks to elevate Saudi Arabia's standing in the realm of hobby culture and quality of life. Source: Saudi Press Agency
