Record-Breaking Results at World Fire and Rescue Championship

Riyadh: The World Championship in Fire and Rescue Sport, hosted by the Kingdom from October 26 to November 1, has witnessed outstanding performances by male and female competitors from various countries, with the races marked by high competitiveness and professionalism.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Russia set a record in the history of the championship in the individual obstacle race, finishing in a record time of 14.84 seconds, and took among the women first place with a time of 15.49 seconds.

The unprecedented results and record-breaking performances achieved in the Riyadh 2025 edition reflect the participants' strong preparedness and ability to demonstrate exceptional firefighting and rescue skills in a highly competitive environment that demands high physical fitness and field readiness. They also underscore the professional organization provided by the Kingdom to ensure the success of this global event, further strengthening its position on the world map of specialized sports.

The early days of the championship showcased remarkable technical levels and professional performances by international rescue teams, demonstrating a perfect blend of physical and technical excellence among competitors across four main events: the hook ladder, the 400-meter relay, the firefighting challenge, and the hook ladder race, which featured intense excitement and the breaking of several personal and world records.

Organized by the Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Civil Defense, in partnership with the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers, the championship brings together more than 300 male and female competitors representing 13 teams from 22 countries.
