Jeddah: With Jeddah hosting the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup (Khaleeji 27), Saudi Arabia's extensive road network is helping facilitate the arrival of fans and visitors traveling to the city by land.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom's road network spans more than 73,000 kilometers and connects Saudi Arabia with neighboring countries, providing access through several land border crossings. The Roads General Authority (RGA) stated that the network offers multiple routes for visitors arriving from Gulf states and neighboring countries, passing through various regions and governorates before reaching Jeddah.
The RGA emphasized the road sector's role in supporting major sporting events and facilitating visitor movement. The integrated network also supports travel between Saudi regions and border crossings, contributing to the tourism, sports, and logistics sectors, thereby enhancing the experience of road users.
Additionally, the RGA continues to regulate and oversee the road sector while improving quality and safety standards. These efforts strengthen connectivity among cities, governorates, and centers, facilitating the movement of people and goods across the Kingdom.
