Riyadh:Riyadh Municipality has announced plans to expand the use of body cameras for inspectors during inspection visits to establishments across the city. This initiative aims to strengthen compliance with municipal requirements, increase transparency, and improve the quality of field inspections.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the decision follows a successful three-week proof-of-concept trial where inspectors documented more than 600 inspection visits using body cameras.
The body cameras serve as a tool to provide a documented record of inspection visits, thereby helping to safeguard the rights of inspectors, establishments, workers, and consumers. This move is part of Riyadh Municipality's effort to adopt the best technological practices and enhance the efficiency of field inspections.
