The national center for palms and dates: Date markets across all regions of the Kingdom have received a variety of fresh date varieties with the start of the harvest season, contributing to increased sales activity and enhanced marketing of farmers' products, thereby helping raise the market value of dates and increasing their contribution to supporting the national economy.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the center noted that Rothana is one of the distinctive local date varieties that enjoys wide popularity among date enthusiasts. It added that Rothana dates are characterized by their medium size, soft texture, and moderate sweetness. The Rothana ripening season begins in early July, and the variety is widely cultivated in Madinah Region and the central region.
