Kuala Lumpur: A delegation from the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), led by SASO Governor Saad bin Othman Al-Kasabi, visited Malaysia to discuss improving product quality and safety, as well as enhancing trade and economic relations between the two countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the visiting SASO delegation, joined by Saudi Ambassador to Malaysia Mesaad Alsulaim, participated in an introductory workshop in Kuala Lumpur, targeting manufacturers and exporters. The workshop reviewed technical requirements for exporting to the Kingdom, including the Saudi Product Safety Program (SALEEM), Saber electronic platform services, technical regulations, the Saudi Quality Mark, and procedures for issuing conformity certificates.
The SASO governor also met with several stakeholders from Malaysia's public and private sectors to discuss cooperation and partnerships, enhance trade exchange between the two countries, and achieve the highest standards of product quality and safety.
