Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh Discuss Enhanced Cooperation at OIC

Jeddah: Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Saleh Al-Suhaibani, received Bangladesh's Permanent Representative to the OIC, Ambassador Mohammed Javed Patwary, at his office in the mission's headquarters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs branch in Jeddah. The meeting focused on strengthening Islamic collaboration within the OIC framework.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions centered on reviewing joint Islamic initiatives and exploring opportunities to enhance cooperation between the Saudi and Bangladeshi missions to further the organization's objectives. The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration in addressing issues affecting the Muslim world.

Ambassador Patwary acknowledged Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian efforts, particularly its support for those affected by global crises. He highlighted the Kingdom's significant role in assisting Rohingya Muslims who have been forcibly displaced due to sectarian violence and its commitment to rehabilitation programs in education, healthcare, and other sectors.
