Saudi Arabia Chairs Joint Meeting of Broadcasting Unions on Sidelines of ASBU 44th General Assembly

Riyadh: The joint meeting of broadcasting unions was held today in Hammamet, Tunisia, in conjunction with the 44th Ordinary Session of the General Assembly of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU). The session was chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and included representatives from several broadcasting unions, including ASBU, Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, European Broadcasting Union, African Union of Broadcasting, OIC Radio and Television Union, and Permanent Conference of the Mediterranean Audiovisual Operators.

According to Saudi Press Agency, discussions during the meeting focused on enhancing international media partnerships. Participants reviewed aspects of cooperation and partnership among unions in various media fields and explored strategies to further develop these relationships to benefit member organizations and strengthen the media's role in addressing current challenges.

The participants underscored the importance of collaborative coordination and the sharing of experiences to enhance regional and international media efforts. They also emphasized fostering innovation to stay aligned with advancements in the media industry.
