Saudi Arabia Condemns Targeting of UAE Consulate in Iraqi Kurdistan

Riyadh: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's condemnation in the strongest terms of the targeting of the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Iraqi Kurdistan. The Kingdom emphasized that such actions are unacceptable and violate international protocols.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom affirmed that the repeated targeting of diplomatic premises clearly contravenes the relevant international laws and norms, including the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949. The convention underscores the importance of respecting the inviolability of diplomatic missions' premises, and such incidents undermine these established global standards.

Furthermore, the ministry conveyed the Kingdom's solidarity with the brotherly United Arab Emirates. This expression of support highlights the close ties between Saudi Arabia and the UAE, further emphasizing their shared commitment to uphold international diplomatic principles and ensure the safety and security of diplomatic missions worldwide.
