Tbilisi: A delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, headed by Assistant Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Ahmed AlHassan, and joined by Saudi Ambassador to Georgia Salman bin Abdulrahman Al Al-Sheikh, participated in the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum 2025. The event was hosted in the Georgian capital on October 22 and 23, with the theme 'Invest in Connectivity - Grow in Stability.'
According to Saudi Press Agency, the forum was inaugurated by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and was attended by leaders and ministers from Armenia and Azerbaijan. It attracted around 2,000 delegates from 70 countries, including diplomats, representatives of international and financial institutions, and private-sector leaders.
This year's forum was organized by the Global Finance and Technology Network (GFTN) in collaboration with the National Bank of Georgia and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. During the forum, AlHassan engaged in discussions with Georgian officials on topics such as airport infrastructure projects, the potential for increasing direct flights between Saudi Arabia and Georgia, and cooperation in land transport and logistics.
