Saudi Arabia, Oman Collaborate on Developing Citrus Cultivation Technologies

Najran: The Najran branch of the National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah) recently hosted a delegation from the Omani Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources. The purpose of the visit was to review research programs and explore modern technologies in citrus cultivation and production.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the program featured specialized scientific lectures focusing on micropropagation techniques for citrus varieties and strategies for biological control. The visit also included an overview of the research system and technical equipment utilized by the center to enhance propagation operations and increase production efficiency, contributing to the sustainable development of citrus cultivation.

During the visit, the delegation toured the center's specialized laboratories and model nurseries. The tour aimed to provide insights into the approved research mechanisms and applications that improve agricultural production efficiency and localize the best modern scientific practices.
