Saudi Arabia Prepares for Consultative Meeting Ahead of World Water Forum 2027

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia is stepping up early preparations to host the 11th World Water Forum in 2027, bringing together global policymakers, international organizations, and private sector leaders for a pivotal consultative meeting aimed at shaping the future of global water security.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the targeted discussions take place during the second Stakeholder Consultation Meeting, held as part of the Saudi Water Week 2026. The gathering serves as a critical milestone in Riyadh's preparatory roadmap, convening a group of international experts and government officials to align strategic priorities ahead of the landmark 2027 forum.

The consultative meeting aims to unify visions and coordinate efforts among various stakeholders. It will focus on discussing the main priorities and themes of the global forum, alongside evaluating organizational and technical frameworks and partnership mechanisms. The early move ensures a qualitative edition that reflects the Kingdom's prominent status and leadership role in water issues.

This early movement and intensification of efforts reflect the Kingdom's commitment to a collaborative approach, enhancing international dialogue on water challenges, and providing practical and sustainable solutions to support global water security.

The 11th World Water Forum will be held in March 2027 in Riyadh under the theme "Action for a Better Tomorrow." Organized in partnership with the World Water Council, with broad participation from the public and private sectors, international and local organizations, and a selection of experts and officials.
