Saudi Arabia Railways Announces 30 Days Free Storage at Riyadh Dry Port

Saudi arabia: Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) announced the extension of the free storage period for various goods and transit containers passing through the Riyadh Dry Port to 30 days instead of 7 days, in a step that enhances the competitiveness of SAR's logistics corridors and improves the efficiency of cargo movement between east and west.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this initiative comes as an extension of SAR's recent launch of five new logistics routes that supported the flow of goods and containers through an integrated network linking ports in the eastern region with ports in the western region and countries north of the Kingdom, in addition to boosting connectivity with border crossings and regional markets. This is part of an integrated transport system combining rail, land, and sea modes, accelerating shipping operations and providing more flexible and reliable transport options.

Riyadh Dry Port represents a key operational hub within this ecosystem, serving as a focal point for shipping operations by receiving containers and goods arriving through ports and efficiently redirecting them to their final destinations within the Kingdom and beyond, enhancing smooth movement and improving supply chain efficiency.
