Saudi Arabia Showcases Industrial Transformation Journey at HANNOVER MESSE in Germany

Hannover: The Industry and Mineral Resources ecosystem has inaugurated its pavilion at the global industrial exhibition HANNOVER MESSE 2026 in Germany, highlighting the Kingdom's vision in empowering advanced manufacturing.

According to Saudi Press Agency, HANNOVER MESSE is the world's leading industrial platform. It brings together decision-makers, industry leaders, and technology pioneers worldwide to showcase the latest innovations and advanced industrial solutions.

The pavilion highlights Saudi Arabia's industrial transformation journey and its vision to enable advanced manufacturing and accelerate the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies. These efforts are focused on improving production efficiency and boosting the competitiveness of the industrial sector.

The pavilion also showcases promising investment opportunities and the competitive advantages of the Kingdom's investment environment, as well as the enablers designed to facilitate investors' journey.

Assistant Deputy Minister for Localization and Advanced Manufacturing at the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources Dr. Ahmed Alzawawi participated in a panel discussion titled 'Scaling Industry: The Lighthouse Operating System as a Blueprint for Transformation,' held on the sidelines of the exhibition.

He outlined Saudi Arabia's efforts to advance industrial transformation, including the Industrial Lighthouses Program, which supports national factories in adopting automation, AI, and advanced industrial technologies, qualifying them for recognition within the World Economic Forum's Global Lighthouse Network.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources held several meetings with leading global industrial and technology companies, including Siemens, Festo, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), ZIEHL-ABEGG, Fraunhofer, Schneider Electric, SEW-EURODRIVE, and Schaeffler Technologies AG and Co. KG.

The discussions addressed opportunities to strengthen industrial cooperation, while underscoring Saudi Arabia's commitment to building international industrial partnerships that facilitate the transfer of knowledge and the localization of advanced technologies and innovative industrial solutions. These efforts reinforce the Kingdom's position as a leading regional and global hub for advanced manufacturing.

The national pavilion brings together the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Investment, the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones 'MODON,' the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), the Saudi Export Development Authority, the National Industrial Development Center, the Saudi EXIM Bank, and the SIDF Investment Company (SIC).
