Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has been unanimously re-elected to head the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), which brings together radio and television authorities across the Arab world, for a third consecutive term. According to Saudi Press Agency, Chairman of the Saudi Media Forum Mohammed Alharthi was re-elected as ASBU president, in recognition of his achievements during his previous tenure. The unanimous vote for extension also reflects the Kingdom's leading position and pivotal role in supporting joint Arab media efforts. Alharthi's previous tenure witnessed a range of initiatives aimed at developing Arab radio and television, enhancing coordination, and promoting integration among media institutions in member states. Saudi Arabia's presidency underscores its ongoing commitment to Arab media and its focus on unifying media efforts.
