Riyadh: Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha held separate discussions with the chief executives of Cisco and Oracle during the ninth annual Future Investment Initiative (FII9) conference. The meetings focused on expanding technology investments in Saudi Arabia, fostering innovation in infrastructure and artificial intelligence (AI), and bolstering strategic partnerships within the digital economy. These efforts are aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to support the nation's growth and sustainable development. According to Saudi Press Agency, the minister's discussion with Cisco's Chuck Robbins centered on the company's ongoing projects in Saudi Arabia and potential collaborations in developing smart communication networks. They explored ways to innovate within digital infrastructure and support the cultivation of national talent in advanced technologies. In a separate meeting with Oracle co-chief executive Mike Sicilia, the focus was on collaboration opportunities in the realms of data centers and cloud platform development. The discussions aimed at enabling smart solutions for both the public and private sectors, enhancing innovation, and accelerating the transition towards a knowledge-based digital economy.
