Saudi Reef Academy Implements Initiative to Develop Beekeeping Sector, Promote Sustainable Rural Development in Eastern Region

Saudi reef academy: Saudi Reef Academy, in cooperation with the Eastern Region branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification, and through a community partnership with beekeepers' associations in Eastern Region and Baha Region, continues to implement a specialized development initiative to promote sustainable rural development. The initiative aims to empower beekeepers, develop human capabilities, and maximize the use of local resources.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative, which contributes to achieving sustainable local economic development, enables beekeepers to apply the best practices in mangrove honey production, enhances the commercial identity of local products, activates extension and practical training programs, and develops value chains for high-quality products.

The initiative reflects Saudi Reef Academy's role in supporting sustainable rural development through capacity building and creating development opportunities that improve quality of life, align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and enhance the efficient utilization of the comparative advantages enjoyed by rural areas across the Kingdom.
