Saudi Space Agency Launches ‘Abaad’ Astrophotography Platform to Promote Arabic Content, Showcase Talent

Qassim: The Saudi Space Agency (SSA) has launched the 'Abaad' astrophotography platform to spread the culture of astrophotography, enhance Arabic content in this field, enable interested individuals to document cosmic phenomena, and build a specialized visual archive.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the platform focuses on showcasing Arab talent in astrophotography by providing multiple participation tracks, including deep space, the solar system, star trails, and space and heritage. This will help highlight photographers' creative works at the Arab level and strengthen their presence in this field.

The participation mechanism includes capturing astronomical images and uploading them through the platform, after which they will be evaluated and displayed monthly, with the best image selected and the works published across SSA's platforms.

This initiative is part of the Saudi Space Agency's efforts to promote scientific awareness, support creativity, and enable the community to engage with space sciences in innovative ways.
