Saudi-Spanish Parliamentary Friendship Committee at Shura Council to Start Visit to Spain Tomorrow

Riyadh– A delegation from the Shura Council, headed by member of the council and Head of the Saudi-Spanish Parliamentary Friendship Committee Assaf bin Salem Abu Thnein, is scheduled tomorrow to start an official several-day visit to Spain.
The visit’s agenda includes meetings with several officials of the Spanish parliament, mainly president of the Congress of Deputies, president of the Senate and senior officials in Spain to hold talks and consultations in several joint issues between the two countries, mainly at the parliamentary level.
In remarks to the press, Abu Thnein said that the visit aims at boosting the exchange of visits of joint parliamentary delegations to develop bilateral relations between the two kingdoms in various fields, enhance parliamentary relations and improve mechanisms of cooperation between parliamentary councils in various political, economic, commercial and educational fields.
He also referred to the achievements of friendship committees through their presence in the parliamentary diplomacy with various parliaments thanks to the support of Speaker of the Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh.
