SDAIA Deploys Advanced Technologies to Streamline Hajj Pilgrims’ Travel Procedures in Senegal

Dakar: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has used various advanced technologies at the initiative hall at Blaise Diagne International Airport in the Republic of Senegal to facilitate the completion of travel procedures for Hajj pilgrims under the Makkah Route Initiative, which was launched for the first time in Senegal this year, as part of SDAIA's participation in the initiative as a digital enabler.

According to Saudi Press Agency, SDAIA's technical team developed a set of technical systems with high privacy standards that meet the initiative's service requirements. The work includes operating and supporting the initiative's systems, equipping mobile kits with biometric registration devices, and providing backup systems to ensure continuity of operations.

SDAIA's team includes engineers and technicians working around the clock to connect, activate, and operate workstations equipped with the latest relevant technologies, helping complete pilgrims' procedures in record time. The team also takes over and operates sites and data transmission circuits, equips mobile kits with biometric registration devices, and provides backup systems to ensure continuity of operations, provide the best possible services to pilgrims, and facilitate their performance of Hajj rituals.
