SDAIA Seeks Public Input on Deepfakes Guidelines

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) is inviting the public and relevant parties to share their feedback on its Deepfakes Guidelines document. The consultation period is open until October 11, 2024. The document, launched during the recent Global AI Summit in Riyadh, outlines guidelines for developers, content creators, and users of deepfake technology. It aims to promote the responsible use of this technology, mitigate potential risks, and align with AI ethics principles and data privacy practices. SDAIA emphasized the importance of international collaboration and effective governance to address the challenges posed by the rapid advancement of AI technologies. The Deepfakes Guidelines document reflects the Kingdom's commitment to ethical practices and leadership in shaping the future of AI governance.
