SDAIA Wins Two Certificates of Excellence at WSIS Prizes 2026

Geneva: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) won two Certificates of Excellence at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Prizes 2026, organized by the International Telecommunication Union in Geneva, Switzerland, in recognition of its outstanding national projects and contributions to advancing and enabling data and artificial intelligence (AI) in line with global best practices.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the first Certificate of Excellence was awarded for the Open Data Platform in the Access to Information and Knowledge category, recognizing its role in expanding access to government data, enhancing transparency, fostering innovation, and enabling researchers, entrepreneurs, and various entities to benefit from open data to support service development and digital solutions.

SDAIA also received a second Certificate of Excellence for the National Artificial Intelligence Index (NAII) in the Enabling Environment category, in recognition of its role in measuring organizational readiness, promoting the adoption of AI technologies, supporting decision-making, and contributing to the development of an integrated national ecosystem built on data and innovation, strengthening the Kingdom's competitiveness in the field.

The achievement builds on SDAIA's continued success at the regional and international levels and reflects Saudi Arabia's leading position in data and AI. It also underscores the Kingdom's role in developing innovative digital solutions that support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and reinforce its standing as a global leader in harnessing advanced technologies to serve development and society.
