Second Global Labor Market Academy Launches in Riyadh

Riyadh: Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor Dr. Abdullah Abuthnain inaugurated the second edition of the Global Labor Market Academy in Riyadh today. This event, which will run through January 25, features participation from 31 countries, including 19 new members, thus bringing the total number of nations involved in the initiative to 50.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the academy serves as a specialized hub for exchanging expertise on global labor trends and innovative policy solutions. It offers participants a year-long academic program focused on capacity building and international employment policy development.

The opening sessions, led by World Bank experts, concentrated on the critical role of social and labor policies in addressing global challenges and enhancing youth employment. The initiative aims to expand its reach to more than 75 countries by 2028, solidifying the Kingdom's role in shaping the future of international labor markets.
