Kuwait City: Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) Dr. Hisham bin Saad Aljadhey led the Kingdom's delegation at the Ninth Meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Committee for Food Safety, which took place today in Kuwait.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting was chaired by Kuwaiti Minister of Health and Chairman of the current session Dr. Ahmed Abdul Wahab Al-Awadhi. GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi was also in attendance, along with committee members from various GCC states.
Discussions at the meeting focused on the efforts of regulatory bodies in the GCC to enhance food safety and quality across the region. The committee reviewed several food safety topics listed on the agenda and reached key decisions aimed at bolstering food security and regulatory frameworks in Gulf countries.
