SGBF Participates in Global ACI Mid-Year Meetings in Prague

Prague: The Saudi Green Building Forum (SGBF) is participating in the mid-year meetings of Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated (Global ACI), being held in Prague from April 20 to 26, with the participation of leaders of global and Gulf accreditation bodies, relevant institutions, and stakeholders from around the world.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this participation reflects the growing Saudi and Gulf presence within the international accreditation system, opening new horizons for institutional cooperation, strengthening international partnerships, and enhancing professional recognition of Saudi and Gulf conformity assessment systems. It also supports future business opportunities in the sustainability and green building sector while reinforcing the region's role as an active partner in accreditation, quality, and sustainable development.

The participation also highlights the importance of regional integration among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Arab states in developing accreditation and conformity systems, improving institutional performance, and strengthening the reliability of certifications and mutual recognition at the international level. This contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of Arab markets and advancing sustainable development goals.

SGBF Secretary-General Eng. Faisal Al-Fadl emphasized that this participation represents a strategic step toward boosting SGBF's presence within the international accreditation ecosystem and supporting the development of saaf® conformity assessment schemes based on performance, measurement, and verification. Al-Fadl noted, 'SGBF is working to extend the Saudi experience to a broader Gulf and Arab level, reinforcing professional and institutional integration in the sustainability and green building sector."

Director General of the GCC Accreditation Center and member of the International Technical Committee for Accreditation Eng. Moteb Al-Mezani explained that the Prague meeting bolstered integration between international and regional accreditation bodies and scheme owners. Al-Mezani stated, 'The participation of SGBF represents a qualitative addition that supports sustainable development systems across the Gulf region and the Arab world, while raising levels of trust, reliability, transparency, and professional recognition globally."

The SGBF is a non-governmental professional organization dedicated to advancing green building concepts, procedures, and applications, while documenting the Sustainable Development Goals through partnerships, training, and conformity assessment systems.
